Wedding Program Wording Guide. A wedding program can be as detailed or as simple as you would like, depending on the formality and style of your wedding, and depending on whether or not you are having a religious ceremony. In most cases, the wedding program (or 'Order of Service') is typically made up of four parts: the introduction, the ceremony order, the wedding party and the closure or special note. Introduction: Usually on the front cover, the introduction would include the names of the bride and groom, the day and date of the ceremony and the location. Ceremony Order: For religious and secular ceremonies alike, it's important to let guests know what's happening by briefly explaining traditions, rituals, and ethnic customs. Include an outline of the various segments of the ceremony such as the prelude, seating, vows, readings, processional, etc. Ttitles of the musical pieces, readings and prayers can also be listed. This is also the place to honor a deceased friend or member of the family. You can also end with a poem, quote or lyrics to a song that is especially meaningful to you. Other things you can do with this scroll: Silk paintings look amazing - they do take time but if you're an arty type, give it a go. You can buy silk, gutta, pins, brushes, silk paint and frames from most art shops. Set up a frame and draw hearts or stars with the gutta, leave to dry, then paint. Cut the silk into mini pictures and use double sided tape to stick them to the top of the scrolls, then outline with gutta. Use a rubber stamp to print a motif onto the tops of the scrolls or on the reverse so that you see it when the scroll is rolled up.
